Plant Based Materials

What kind of fabric is TENCEL™

Our plant-based scrubs are made from sustainably sourced natural raw material wood  that is treated in an innovative closed loop system, which allows for over 99% of water and solvent waste to be reused. Tencel fabric provides a soft, smooth texture that ensures wearer comfort during extended periods of use. Its excellent breathability and moisture-wicking properties keep healthcare workers cool and dry in dynamic clinical settings. Tencel combines functionality, comfort and sustainability, having earned favor among medical professionals seeking attire permitting full performance of duties.

Botanic origin from forest to fabric process

TENCEL™ and Modal fiber production processes are continuously refined to maximize resource efficiency and minimize environmental impact. Consequently, carbon emissions and water consumption of TENCEL™ fibers are up to 50% lower compared to generic lyocell and modal fibers, according to Higg MSI*.

Sustainable Practices

Made with Recycled Bottles

What kind of fabric is FYSEL®

As we continue to grow, we are always working to improve our products for our customers and the environment. So we’ve made a significant switch that makes your life easier and more sustainable by switching from polyester to Recycled polyester. Our scrubs are made from recycled bottles, using our innovative FYSEL materials. It takes 45 bottles to create 1 set of scrubs.

Plastics from landfill and the ocean to fabric process

The fabrication process of recycled polyester fabric begins with the collection and cleaning of used PET bottles, which are then shredded into flakes. These flakes undergo melting, extrusion, and polymerization to create long polyester threads. The threads are spun into yarn, and through weaving or knitting, they form the fabric. Dyeing and finishing processes enhance color and texture, and the finished fabric is cut and sewn into end products such as clothing or accessories. This recycling process not only diverts plastic waste from landfills but also contributes to a more sustainable and circular economy by reusing materials and reducing the reliance on virgin resources.

#Made with Care

Carbon Footprint

As with almost all products in our life, we have a carbon footprint. To offset our carbon and promote sustainability in a business, we have partnered up with ONE TREE PLANTED, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. One Tree Planted is on a mission of global reforestation to help repair the damage caused by industry and resource extraction. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat for over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. This is our One-Tree-Per-Order Pledge.

Commitment to Sustainability

As our ever-evolving brand continues to grow our commitment to sustainability will remain at the center of what we do. We know that we're not perfect but we also know that every positive action makes a big impact. As we continue on our sustainable journey we are continually working to incorporate more eco-friendly practices into our business.
